Staff Changes

We regret to inform you that Joanne Powley (Green Jo) will be leaving Baby Ducks at the end of this term, after 7 and a half years,  to take up a position at another setting in Hove, which is closer to her daughters school. Her last working day will be Thursday 24th March 2016.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Jo for everything that she has done during her time with us. She has been an important member of the team and very committed to the success of Baby Ducks including when we moved the business in 2012. She will be very missed by the staff and children alike and wish her every success in the future.

We are now in the process of finding a replacement for Jo and hope to fill her position as soon as possible. We hope to make the transition as smooth as possible for all the children, especially the green team.

Happy Birthday

Baby Ducks is 10 years old!

We opened in 2006 with just 4 children (1 was our son Jake and 2 were children of the staff that worked for us). We open in Glebe Villas and only did morning sessions.

Our business grew at the old location until circumstances meant that we had to leave and find a new home in 2012.

Since then we have been at the Parish Centre in Portslade and we were very lucky that most of our parents were able to continue to bring the children too us.

We have enjoyed our 10 years and loved looking after so many different children. It has been a privilege to be part of families lives and in many cases we have been lucky enough to have the younger brothers and sisters come and be baby ducks too!

Thank you to all of our staff over the years that have enabled us to provide such loving a quality care to the children and their families. Your hard work particularly in the difficult time has been really appreciated

Thank you also to all the many families that have come to us over the 10 years. It has been a pleasure looking after you children and seeing them develop into school children. You have always supported us and helped our business to grow.

We will be holding some events later this year to celebrate our milestone, but for now ...

They mixed flour, water and food colouring with the cotton wool balls. Then it went into the oven until it went hard. Then in the afternoon they had great fun smashing it up...
