Music Time
The younger children have been enjoying some music time this morning
they have all really enjoyed doing the actions to the songs!
Whilst the older children spent a bit of time talking about going to school!

Active Kids
Sainsbury's have now stopped giving out active kids vouchers for 2014! Please could everyone check over the half term to see if they still have any that need to be given in. We will be placing our order once we are back and every last voucher will help!

Getting Ready for School
In September several of our Baby Ducks will be going to school! As part of helping those children get ready for that transition we have started giving them their lunch boxes instead of taking items out and putting the food on to plates as we would with the younger ones!
This will allow the older children to get used to choosing items to eat and making sure they can open packets by themselves. Small containers are generally much easier that packets but the children will need to be able to remove the lid themselves. When they get to school they will only get about 25 minutes to eat which is very different to what they have been used to. Please talk to your children about their lunches and if you are going any where during the half term why not take the opportunity for them to get some more practice.
To help with this here are a few articles and information that you might find helpful as parents ...

If the children are struggling with anything in their lunches we will let you know, but if you have any concerns or questions please feel free to ask us.
