We're Going on a Bear Hunt

Today we told the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt'. It is one of the children's favourite stories which they all enjoy, so today we decided to read it outside and go on a little bear hunt of our own.

Book Week

This week we have been celebrating book week at Baby Ducks. We have been doing lots of different things including a second hand book sale, cake sale, reading and doing activities linked to some of the children's favourite books.

The children have also been dressing up, firstly in their pyjamas ...

and then again as characters from books ...

A big thank you to anyone that brought in a copy of one of the 'That's not my...' books for us to read this week, at last count we had 10 different titles but we are still counting as we will continue with these books through to the end of March.

We will let you know how much we raised next week.

Ice Play

Today the children have really enjoyed playing with the ice. They have been trying to free the sea creatures by melting it with water...

Dear Zoo

This week the children have been writing letters to the Zoo to send them a pet, just like in the book, they were asked to think about what pet they would like, what ut must be, what it must not be and how much they would pay. They also drew a picture of the animal and signed the letter.

Popcorn

Today for snack the children have had popcorn that we made for them. They loved watching the new machine which was donated to us by a previous parent. We are very grateful to them for giving it to us because as well as being great fun and really quick it is a health snack option as the machine uses no oil just hot air.

2nd Place

Great News...

Our Christmas Tree got 2nd place at the Christmas Tree Festival in Portslade. We will hopefully be entering again next year so hopefully we can go one better.
