Free Childcare Calculator

I have had a few parents asking for the website that allows you to check if you are entitled to extra childcare recently, so I thought I would re-post the details.

The website is : https://www.gov.uk/childcare-calculator

You will get an estimate of how much you could get to help pay for approved childcare.

You’ll need information about you and your partner (if you have one), including:

• how much you spend on childcare
• any benefits you or your child get
• your income

It should take around 10 minutes to get an estimate.

Treasure Hunt

The children at baby Ducks worked as a team to find all of the treasure coins in the sand. They spoke about the numbers on the coins.

Letter Hunt

We are looking for all the letters from our names. First we had to find our name in the pile, then we tried to match up the letters against the name on the card.

Orbeez

Today we are playing with the Orbeez, these are an amazing sensory aid which are fun to put your hands in searching for objects. Today we were searching for hidden numbers.

The children were trying to find objects and identify them as well as describe how the Orbeez felt. Things the children said were "they feel cold and wet", "they are really nice to touch.",  "they are like jelly.", " They are slippery", "they wobble!" and "it is slimy like jelly on a plate."

Matching Patterns

The children have enjoyed matching pictures and patterns.

Leaf Printing

Now that the autumn is here, its a great time to do some leaf printing. The children always love a bit of messy painting.
