A few of the children have been bringing in items to show to their friends which has really helped with their communication skills and confidence. If they have any items that they want to bring in to show the other children then this would be great. Please give them to us when you arrive at the setting and we will keep them safe until group time.

Show and Tell
The children are really enjoying group time at the moment and they especially like to hear news from each other about what they have been doing.
Time to Talk
As you will know we changed our group time at the beginning of this month, splitting the children in to school leavers and younger children. This has proved very successful. The older children have had more time to share their news and the younger ones have started learning skills needed for group time without being expected to sit for long periods of time.
We have been using 'Quackers' our bear to help with turn taking ...
It has really helped with the children's listening skills by using the bear as a visual aid to indicate who's turn it is to talk.
We are really pleased with how well this has worked but we would love to know if you have any methods for waiting for time to talk that you use at home which you would like to share with us.

Our week at Baby Ducks
We have moved the mark making things to the back of the hall to allow more children to access it and it appear to be a popular choice...
One of the children tried to make an eye patch with a lace and a bead, so we thought we would have a go at making some more comfortable ones and the children really enjoyed it...
Even though the weather has not been great the children have still enjoyed playing outside.
Instead of just making a den we made a bus...
The children have really enjoyed playing with the plastic boats outside in the water, so we thought we would have a go at making some...

Our Week at Baby Ducks
Here are a few pictures and videos of the children taken this week at Baby Ducks.
They all loved playing with the Potato Heads.
With all the hot weather the garden has needed a lot watering.
